“And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. And His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems.” And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following on white horses (Rev. 19: 11-12-14).
America is no longer flexing her military might. Her once proud eagle wings are no longer capable of taking her into the air and are no longer spread as a covering for Israel. Could America’s plight be the result of the war prophesied in Psalm 83 by Asaph? Perhaps. But is could also be that America has turned its back on its covenant with the apple of God’s eye, Israel. With no legitimate opposition, and with military might already established in Syria, Russia is now free to bring more troops south as they prepare to invade the tiny nation of Israel. The war prophesied in chapter 39 of Ezekiel is now coming to pass. Gog (a person) and Magog, (nations) are coming together to once and for all destroy the Jewish people. They should have read His Book, for God promised that in the last days He would put a hook in their jaw and bring them against Israel. His hook is firmly and securely in place as many nations scheme and come together, rushing to enter into the valley of Hamon-gog. It is there that they endure the wrath of God. Ezekiel 39:12 declares that the slaughter will be so great that it will take seven months for Israel to bury the dead. This is not the final war. Two more major wars have been prophesied.
Basking in victory, Israel will no longer see the need for security walls. They are weary of war and ready to make peace with their neighbors. No longer heeding the wisdom of God, they are beguiled by the intellect of a man. He an orator with a message of peace, and after all, he appeared riding a white horse. Had they sought God, they would have known that he arrived with a bow in his hand. His intent is to conquer the entire earth and create a One World Order. Almost simultaneously, another man appears who is able to perform great signs and wonders. He is the head of the now existing apostate church, and he gives his allegiance to the antichrist. Israel signs a treaty that binds them to the new world order, and for a short time it appears that they have made a positive and advantageous treaty. Yet trouble is on the near horizon. The Beast sends forth an edict that requires everyone to take a mark on their forehead or on their hand. Without it, they will not be able to trade, to buy or to sell.
Yet it is troubling for the antichrist that God has raised up two prophets that continually stand in the way of his agenda. Dressed in sackcloth, they steadfastly proclaim the error that Israel has entered into, and protected by God, no one is able to harm them. Are they Moses and Elijah? Perhaps, but whoever they are, they are God’s men and they are clothed with supernatural powers. The antichrist tries unsuccessfully to kill them, but he cannot. They are able to call down fire from heaven and devour anyone who seeks to harm them. They stand in the way of the antichrist for twelve hundred and sixty days, (3 1/2 yrs).
Equally infuriating to the antichrist and to the false prophet is the reality that 144,000 Jewish men have gone into all of Israel proclaiming “Repent, for the Kingdom of God (return of Christ) is at hand.” Too late he finds that they have also gone into every nation of the earth with the same message. It is a fulfilling prophecy, for now the end can come. There is a great harvest of souls in Israel, and around the world millions more are being saved. Only the 144000 are sealed after the Church is raptured, so many fall away from the Faith to avoid persecution. After three and one half years, the two prophets and the 144000 are seen in heaven. Because they were sealed, we do not see 139,999 men in heaven, we see 144,000 men. Their task is complete and the last three and one half years of Tribulation has begun. God now pours forth His fury on the earth, damming forever those who have taken the Mark of the Beast. The Church is gone, the two prophets are gone, the 144,000 gospel preaching missionaries are gone, and it appears that nothing stands in the way of the antichrist. He walks into the Jerusalem Temple and proclaims himself to be God and demands to be worshiped. Jesus has warned, when you see the abomination of desolation standing in the Temple, run for your lives. The unholy trinity appears to be in control, but God wrote more than the first chapter of Genesis, He also wrote the Book of Revelation. Check it out! Our side wins!
A two million man army (China or Arab nations? No one knows for sure, but the better scenario is Arabic nations ) now begins to march towards Israel. Stung by their previous defeat, they once again move against Israel, confident that with the antichrist in control nothing can deny them a total victory. Jews are being slaughtered by millions and exactly as Jesus said, “Unless those days had been shortened, no life would have been saved” (Matt. 24:22). Those days are shortened, and now the Son of God appears in the sky with none other than the Church and His angels. With the breath of His mouth, the armies that have marched against Israel are destroyed. Not only are the armies of Satan destroyed, but everyone who rejected Christ as their Savior are slain as well. The Beast (anti-Christ) and the false prophet are seized and thrown into the Lake of Fire Satan is bound and chained and will remain so for the next 1000 years. Jesus once again stands on the Mount of Olives, exactly where He and His disciples were when they asked the question, “When shall these things be, and what will be the sign of your return and of the end of the age?” The prayer of Christ to His Father has now been answered, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Can you say Hallelujah???
Next week will end this series as we study “The End Of The Age.”
